Abstract
The aim of this study is to explore the impact of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) on labour productivity and value added in Turkish manufacturing industry and service sector. The analysis is based on the firm level data obtained from Turkish Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT) and covers the period from 2009 to 2013. The impact of the use of ICT on labor productivity was analyzed by using the Random Effects model while its impact on value added was examined by using the Olley-Pakes method. The results of the analysis shows that the use of ICT in firms in both manufacturing industry and service sector have a positive effect on both labor productivity and value added.

Bilgi ve İletişim Teknolojileri Kullanımı ve Firma Performansı

Ozet
Bu çalışmanın amacı Türkiye imalat sanayiinde ve hizmet sektöründe Bilgi ve İletişim Teknolojileri (BİT) kullanımın işgücü verimliliğine ve katma değere etkisini ortaya koymaktır. Analizler Türkiye İstatistik Kurumu (TÜİK)’den elde edilen 2009-2013 yıllarını kapsayan firma düzeyindeki verilere dayanmaktadır. BİT kullanımının işgücü verimliliğine etkisi Rassal Etkiler modeli ile katma değere etkisi ise Olley-Pakes modeli ile incelenmiştir. Analiz sonuçları hem imalat sanayiinde hem de hizmet sektöründe BİT kullanımının işgücü verimliliğini ve katma değeri olumlu yönde etkilediğini göstermektedir.
